Tajik athletes won 16 medals in Abu Dhabi
Tajik athletes won 16 medals at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship among juniors, youth and adults, as well as the World Jiu-Jitsu Festival, which took place from April 20 to 26 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. including 7 gold medals.
According to the Jiu-Jitsu Federation of Tajikistan, the national team included 26 athletes. At the World Children’s Festival, David Jonshoev (under 24 kg), Muhammadrofe Barotov (-27 kg), Muhammad Alimov (-21 kg) and Imron Dodomatov (-24 kg) were awarded gold medals. Abdulfattoh Rasulov (-24 kg), Ali Rasulov (-34 kg) and Marufjon Nazarzoda (-77 kg) were awarded silver medals.
In the competitions among young men Amirjon Nuriddin (-55 kg) and Ibodullo Ibodov (-42 kg), as well as Fotimakhon Gadoeva (-40 kg) among girls for the first places were awarded gold medals. Mansurjon Saburov (-27 kg) and Hasanjon Safarov (-37 kg) won silver medals, Safialloh Mahmadali (-41 kg), Samariddin Mahmadalizoda (-46 kg) and Biloliddin Mahmadalizoda (-50 kg) won bronze medals.
In the competitions among senior athletes Abdumannon Rahimov in the weight category under 77 kg won a silver medal.
Athletes from 100 countries, including children, teenagers and Paralympians, took part in the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship among juniors, youth and adults, as well as the World Festival in Abu Dhabi.
